Miss Katie's Charm School loves to give back to the community! This is why we are part of the Junior Achievement Program in Florida!
Once a year Miss Katie visits a school for the day to teach them what is involved in owning and running a business. She discusses everything from product selection, marketing, and pricing, to management skills and interpersonal communications. The emphasis is on the importance of staying in school and learning all you can so when it comes time to join the real world you are prepared and confident!
This year Miss Katie twirled into Stranahan High School in South Florida!
Miss Katie kept the class interested with goodies in the form of great snacks, candy, and accessories from her store. These snacks and accessories weren't just a ploy to keep the students attention; more so they become part of the class discussion.
She brought all the Junior Achievement students Miss Katie's hair bows as a tool to cultivate their awareness of the importance of an accessory, as minute as a bow, to a business. She taught them how product quality, profitability, and marketing of just this little bow can have a huge impact on her business!
It is an eye opening experience that inspires the students to continue their education and understand what being an entrepreneur is all about!
Miss Katie loves being a role model for young sparkling students! It is always fun to look fabulous and have great style, but it is more important to cultivate your mind and broaden your horizons!
Thank you to Stranahan High School for allowing Miss Katie's to participate in this wonderful program and to all the sparkling students who took part for their enthusiasm!
